G e n e r a l - P e r s o n a l i t y

Hufflepuffs, generally, are pacifists. They have an extreme dislike for conflict, and would rather solve things through words and common sense, rather than resort to violence. They are the children of nature, and feel a strong connection to it, spiritually. They feel a much stronger connection to animals and the Earth, rather than other people. This is why they oppose of violence so much, because in the long run, it hurts these factors more than it does anything else, and to them, this upsets the balance of nature. They believe strongly in ultimate beauty, within the world, within the soul and within the universe. They are easily upset, though they will rarely show it, as they feel like this would cause unneeded stress and drama to others. They value everyone else above themselves, and rarely wish harm on any. At their worst, Hufflepuffs are a force to be reckoned with, as if they were mother nature herself, they are stronger when scorned, do not take them for shrinking violets due to their nice demeanor.

P o s i t i v e - & - N e g a t i v e - T r a i t s

Hufflepuffs are very likable in that they have many positive traits. They are kind and giving, healers in their nature. They wish only the best for everyone, and are often optimists. They are not necessarily social butterflies to the degree a Gryffindor may be, but once they begin to be comfortable in a setting, they are warm and generally happy in their circle of friends. 

They are also very loyal and strong, though they may not be straightforward and blunt. They tend to be good emotional absorbents, meaning they can take it all that you are feeling, positive and negative, and understand it. This can go one of two ways. If a Hufflepuff likes you, which generally they will give you the benefit of the doubt, they will be empathetic and try to use this to help you. If, for some reason, you betray or upset a Hufflepuff, do not think they will just go sulk, this is simply how their darker and more negative side comes out. They know all your strengths and weaknesses, and they kept them in storage in their kindness, but once you’ve ripped away their good nature, they will use them against you, picking at that scab on your mind. Never, ever think a Hufflepuff is weak, nor underestimate them. You will regret the repercussions.

Another negative trait of Hufflepuffs can be their habitual tendency to try and be what they think others need them to be. They will try and form themselves to what they think someone wants them to be in order for the other person or peoples to be happy. This is not something they should try, as expression and their free spirit is what makes the Hufflepuff who they truly are. 

C o m m o n - S t a r - S i g n s

A very common star or sun sign for a Hufflepuff is generally Cancer, as both have the qualities of peacemakers and healers. They love people and taking care of them. They combine well in this manner because they have no conflicting feelings about their empathy, they just want to do onto others as they would want done onto them. Pisces is also very common among Hufflepuffs, as both are more reserved, but full of creativity and imagination.

H o b b i e s

Hufflepuffs tend to hobbies that make them feel as though they are making the world a better place, in some form or another. This varies greatly, it can be something as large as volunteer work or helping care for children or animals, and other times it can be something that they, as an individual, see as bettering the world. This means it could be gardening, drawing, writing, the possibilities of hobbies and talents for Hufflepuffs are endless. It is a matter of what branch of nature and Earth they connect with as an individual, and what brings out their true spirit.

F r i e n d s h i p s

Hufflepuffs have many acquaintances, rather than a large circle of friends. They get along with most people from a distance, and they prefer it this way. They have no need to get close to people, because their sense and observation of everything around them shows them what a person feels, what they are thinking, and they don’t need to talk to them to understand their view points. They are perfectly comfortable knowing many people but only having a few close, true friends. In this case, they are often the type of friends who will drive you home when you’re drunk, or bring you something of you don’t feel well. They love random acts of kindness toward their closest friends, because they bring out the motherly side in them. Due to their avoidance of conflict, friendships for Hufflepuffs can last for a long time.

I n t i m a t e - R e l a t i o n s h i p s

Intimate relationships for a Hufflepuff can be a difficult thing. That is because, as much as they don’t want to admit it, they avoid the real world, and that includes the struggles of trying to keep a stable romance with someone. They don’t want to argue, even when it may sometimes be necessary, they don’t want to now where the relationship is going, they just want to know that it goes, and be happy with it in this way. This causes them to have commitment problems, because while they are very nurturing, they tend to view people more as projects or children, rather than as a partner, which can be a majour souring component in a relationship.

The average typology for a Hufflepuff is ESFP (Extrovert-Sensing-Feeling-Perceptive). This varies for everyone, of course, but by Hufflepuffs love people, and tend to feel everything around them, and connect to it deeply.

They may miss opportunities because of how much order they want to keep around them, and by making sure everything is as perfect as they want it to be. If something is out of place, they feel dangerously uncomfortable, and wish they could remedy it, but feel absolutely helpless as to how. They also may have what could be considered to some as odd ways of thinking, or eccentric, which is common in both them and Ravenclaws. There is nothing wrong with this and it isn’t necessarily a disorder of any kind, they just have unique perceptions on things that others may not see or understand.

R e l i g i o u s - V i e w s

Hufflepuffs are very spiritual, whether they believe in any form of God or deity or not. They can just be spiritual within their own mind and heart, and this works just find for them as well. Whatever it is they may believe, they are incredibly comfortable with it, and are just as comfortable with you thinking what you think. They are not one to argue, and believe in all paths to God and/or spiritual wholeness.

P o l i t i c a l - V i e w s

There will be no attempts here to try and sort any house into any particular political party, but simply how they act within parties. Hufflepuffs rarely travel toward politics, as they have no need for them. The thought of debate is lost on them, as they can’t see what is wrong with everyone having their own opinion and way of life, and leaving it at that. They see politics simply as a waste of time and energy, though when it comes to specific issues, they will gladly vote on what they think is right.

C a r e e r s

Common career and occupational choices among Hufflepuffs are ones where their inner healer shines through. They are often nurses, caretakers, or other things in the medical field. The more intuitive Hufflepuff may also branch toward Psychology or Sociology, because their excelled ability with empathy is great for this field. They also often appreciate the arts, often poetry and drawing or painting.

I d e a l - E n v i r o n m e n t

The ideal environment for a Hufflepuff is one where they feel full wholeness and correctness, as everything needs to fit in their order. They are intellectual and spiritual nomads, looking for this place, and when they find it, they know it immediately, and stay there. Literally speaking, the environment they tend toward is usually on the softer side, often cold and snowy or at times rainy, something calming yet equally beautiful.

S e l f - P e r c e p t i o n

Hufflepuffs view themselves as good people, and that is as simply as they put it. They try not to look into the negative aspects of their self, as when they do they tend to feel put down, like they are unworthy of where they have gotten in life. So they focus on the positive, and see themselves as happy and proper people in society.

L i f e - M i s s i o n

The life mission of a Hufflepuff is to help others, kill with kindness, and ultimately, reach a state of nirvana.

One of the very few things that makes Vincent genuinely happy is when he and TB plays with TB’s puppets. That guy’s name is actually Thunderbird. He likes hand-puppets, he’s part werewolf, and he’s the same height as Vincent; 5’5”. Vincent prefers the puppy and unicorn puppets, the bear is third but that’s TB’s favorite.
